Founded in the year 2000, IFG is a leading digital platform that specializes in mobilizing finance and investment for micro, small, medium, and large companies in Africa. Our core mandate is to provide access to finance, promote entrepreneurship, and offer customized capacity building, coaching, and mentoring services for MSMEs across the continent. Our goal is to accelerate economic growth and development in all sectors of national economies throughout Africa.

Dr. MacJohn Geraldo - Founder & Group Executive Officer

MacJohn who is the Founder & Group Chief Executive Officer of the International Financial Group is Commercial and Investment Banker, MSME Expert and Business Coach/Mentor has over 35 years of professional experience in the Banking and finance industry as well as the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Ghana and Africa. As the Group Chief Executive Officer of the International Financial group, he oversees the entire operations of the even (7) subsidiaries of the International Financial Group in key areas such as financial management, brokerage/sourcing of funding for projects from local and international financial institutions, funds/portfolio management for client institutions and many more.

Mr. Victor Adjei - Head of Corporate Finance & Project Management

Victor has worked with International Financial Services for the past fifteen (15) years mainly in the areas of business planning and financial modelling, as well as the preparation of project feasibility studies for greenfield projects. Prior to joining International Financial Services Limited, Victor worked with Network Financial Services Limited, a non-bank Financial Institution as Senior Corporate Finance Manager with responsibility for the preparation of Business Plans, Feasibility Studies, Business Modelling and Deal sourcing. He later worked with Ghana’s first Credit Reference Bureau as a Senior Manager in charge of Banks and other Financial Institutions in the banking and finance ecosystem for ten years. He also had a stint with microfinance institutions in various managerial positions in Ghana.

Dr. Wunu Phanuel - Head of Training & Capacity Building

Phanuel is Enterprise Development Expert and Project Management Professional. He has vast experience working with various development agencies including GIZ, MasterCard Foundation, KFW/DEG and USAID. He is SMEs Mentor and Coach having worked in various training and coaching programs for start-ups, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.

Mr. Bright Kugblenu - Senior Business Development Manager

Bright is a Business Trainer and Coach. He had extensive experience training SMEs in various programs involving MasterCard Foundation, Ghana Enterprises Agency and the Rural Enterprises Project of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Bright has worked with International Financial Services Limited for the past ten years on a variety of donor projects including USAID FinGAP (Financing Ghanaian Agricultural Project) and USAID MFA (Mobilizing Finance for Agriculture).

Mr. Ben Amagatse - Head of Information Technology Department

Ben is an Expert in Management Information Systems and has extensive experience spanning over twenty-five years with various banking systems and soft and hardware development and application He worked with The Bank for Housing and Construction in various capacities before joining United Bank of Africa (UBA) where he was instrumental in the design and installation of various soft and hardware.. He has succeeded in designing and installation of microfinance software’s for several Ghanaian microfinance companies. Ben is in charge of Management Information Systems at International Financial Services Limited.

Ms. Lilian Geraldo - Head of Administration & Corporate Affairs

Lilian is a Lawyer by profession and a co-founder, Director and Secretary to the Board of International Financial Group. She is also the Head of Administration of the company. She has worked with the company since 2008 in the capacity as Company Secretary and Legal Advisor. Lilian also has ten years’ practical experience in SME Advisory, Coaching/Mentoring, business plan development among others. She has worked as a consultant on a number of projects including USAID Fin GAP (Financing Ghana Agricultural Project, (USAID – Trade Hub & Africa Partners Program and USAID MFA (Mobilizing Finance For Agriculture).

Achievements & Awards

Coached and assisted 25 SME’s with the preparation/review of their final business plans for submission to their bankers.

Provided managerial/entrepreneurship and business skills training to 25 SME’s

Assisted and linked all the 25 SME’s to the online marketplace to enable them promote their products and services.

Facilitated an equivalent amount of US$3.5 million for SME’s to beef up their working capital requirements under the Project.
